Summary
After losing his leg a year and a half ago- not to the ladder truck bombing, but to the subsequent blood clots- Buck was finally back at work. He wasn't with the 118, which continued to refuse to take him back, but was instead starting at the 217, Air Operations, as their newest pilot and technical rescue lead. It made sense: he already had the license, possessed more certifications than he knew what to do with, and could finally do everything with his prosthetic that he could do before. Almost.
The 40/60 mindset had carried him through the last two years of grueling rehab, PT, therapy, and recertifications. Now, he hoped it would be enough to get him through whatever Air Ops threw at him.

These are the background conversations that happen inside my head as I'm planning chapters. I don't add them to the story because they either don't include Buck or Tommy, or they're not important for context beyond planning purposes.
No one has to read these, they're absolutely not important to the main story, I just thought they would just be fun write!
