Summary
“You could fly with me. Not rush.” George glanced at him as Max grabbed his own wrists behind his back. “Take your time. If there’s anything you wanted to do here, first.”
“And how would that sound, Max?” He couldn’t wait for an answer; it might convince him. “ ‘I know we said we’d be going to Brackley as a team to celebrate the win with the whole factory, but I wanted to hang out a little longer, I’ll catch a ride home with Verstappen in a couple hours’ ? “
An eyebrow arched. “A couple hours you think, Russell? Interesting.”
Max and George have known each other for half their lives... vaguely. A chance run-in after Max wins his 4th WDC lights a spark they can't ignore, forcing them to learn how to navigate the noise of the paddock, the chaos outside of it, and the championship fight of the 2025 season, together.
Story basically canon: real world/timeline/relationships, and generally respecting all IRL events that can be noted from news/social media/race weekends.

Summary
“Alex, I don't know how to have this conversation again. We've been together for a year, we have a home together, our families support us generally, even Papa came around by the time we left, I don't know what–”
“Your family… by the time you left?? You took him to Norfolk??”His eyes had popped wide, words tumbling out with a shrill lift at the end.
George just stared at him, one eyebrow cocked in frustration at the outburst, trying to decide how seriously he should take it, if it was even deserving of a response. Apparently he didn't decide quickly enough, because when he opened his mouth, Alex looked like he was a hair’s breadth away from jumping up and shaking him.
“Christ George, how did this happen??"
After a year of constant strain since Alex found out about George and Max, things finally come to a head, forcing everything into the light.

Summary
“I got the pictures.”
“You know you should just text me the best ones so I can use them for inspiration when I’m in Milton Keynes.”George swatted at him lightly and settled into what he’d decided was his corner of the sofa with his legs crossed, two envelopes from the photo shop in town on the table next to his nearly empty smoothie, and patted the cushion next to him.
“Come, sit. We’re going back in time.”
“You know you’re going to want to put them all up anyway.”
Max cuddled him close in his corner, and let out a contented sigh that he knew wasn't long for the world.“Ugh, Maaaax…”
He huffed a breath out in feigned irritation and let him go. “Fine, fine. We’ll look, schatje,” he said, and sat up, grabbing for the envelopes and handing one to George.
Max and George look through pictures of their past as they decorate their new home, remembering together how every moment got them to where they are.
OR 5 times Max didn't notice how much he noticed George, and the 1 time he finally did.
