- Description:
Welcome to Slipstream!
This fic is complete and will be 14 chapters. New chapters will be posted every Sunday.
Slipstream takes place before and through the Paranormal Liberation War storyline and tries to fill in some gaps from the original plot.
This is very much a Hawks romance (a very explicit one), but there is also an overarching plot involving the Hero Public Safety Commission, the League, organized crime, Trigger drugs, and Violet’s past.
I promise there will be spice in every chapter ❤️🔥

Summary
“I usually short cut through there,” I say, pointing.
He pauses, cocking his head to the side. “You take all the heroes you meet into dark alleys, or am I special?”
I start down the walkway, turning away from him. “I guess that remains to be seen.”
The next moment, my motion is brought to a halt as Hawks grabs me by the back of the neck, swinging me around to face him again.
His mouth crashes down onto mine.

Violet Mercer has spent years building a quiet life in Japan, far away from the dark past she left behind in America. She’s a counselor at a Kyushu hospital, has an unusual quirk that lets her experience memories through taste, and has no intention of getting involved with a Pro Hero.
Then Hawks drops into her life.
What begins as relentless flirting and a spectacularly bad idea becomes impossible to keep casual. As much as she wants to fight it, Violet can't.
Then Hawks is pulled deeper into an undercover operation, and the villain world Violet escaped begins to creep into Japan. As secrets unravel and the country they both love edges closer to war, falling for each other might prove to be more dangerous than they ever thought—or might save them both.Series
