There were still bad days. There would be. The kind of trauma Jisung endured, it was the kind that took root deep in the bones and made its home inside the nerves and tissue.
Today had been one of the bad ones, worse than usual. Minho found himself leaning against the arm of the couch, legs propped up, Jisung slotted between them, trembling against his chest. The younger had finally settled into a quiet rhythm of slower breathing and quiet hiccups from the loud sobs that had found him in the comfort of the older. Minho was gently carding his fingers through Jisung's hair with one hand and the other was smoothing down his back, whispering quiet reassurances into his temple. It was a stark contrast from earlier in the day.
