Summary
It was something that should have been left behind, something that as much as he may have pleaded long ago to have been made bare to the people he loved, he absolutely could not let be known. But what will a lingering and pertinent sorrow, acting as a catalyst entail for those conflicting desires? What will it mean for those he promised to protect, from the world itself and his own secrets?
An alternate take on the story of Re:Zero, branching off from the ending of Arc 9.

Summary
Knowledge is a blessing, but it can also be a curse; Maybe, it could even be both at the same time.
This story serves as an Ex. chapter or Side Story for the 'parent' work, Melancholic Afterimage. Reading these chapters are not 100% necessary to follow the parent work, nor is reading the parent work necessary to read this one...though of course, as these chapters are meant to be supplementary to the main work they will be referencing events/developments that occur within it.
