Summary
Nesta Archeron is sent into the mountains with an injured shoulder, a pack she can barely carry, and a mate who calls her suffering necessary. While Cassian sleeps inside the only tent, she walks to the cliff. By morning, her footprints end at the ridge, and the Inner Circle must search for the sister it believed it could still control.

Summary
Nesta Archeron died after the people who claimed to love her made survival an act of obedience. Resurrected by Queen Briallyn, she returns with the combat training of an Illyrian General, the instincts of an assassin, and memories of her own murder. She remembers Cassian’s hands holding her at the cliff, Feyre ordering her death, and a coffin buried beneath an Autumn forest. Some of those memories are lies, carefully bound to suffering that was real.
Through the Crown, Briallyn turns Nesta’s anger toward a conquest centuries in the making. She intends to assemble the Silver Elite: thirteen resurrected warriors whose deaths left grievances powerful enough to raise an army around. Nesta will command them, wielding her Made weapons and the terrible magic that has already returned an ancient silver wyvern to the skies. As graves open and forgotten enemies rise, Briallyn declares that Prythian needs only one ruler—and sends Nesta to demonstrate what resistance will cost.
With the Thirteen rising around her, the struggle for Nesta’s freedom becomes inseparable from the war over who believes they have the right to command her.
