“Hey.” Troy scoffs as he takes a cookie from the bag. They’ve been his primary craving through his whole pregnancy, oatmeal cookies with cold cold milk (yes, with ice!) and strawberry yoghurt. He doesn’t usually like sweets this much and is a little bit worried he might end up a little bit chubbier than before his pregnancy. It’s not a bad thing but he hasn’t been chubby since he was a kid. It’ll be weird to see that guy again. “I can keep a baby inside.”
“You mean if I lean too much on daddy Baby Joey will pop out of him?! We aren’t even at the hospital! Daddy you can’t have Baby Joey in the airport!” She stands up and takes Troy’s cheeks in her grubby, crumb covered little hands, squeezing them hard.
