---The sight was not particularly appealing. Large dark rocks jutted out from the ground, creating the small island the lighthouse sat on. Most, if not all, were spotted in white from seagull droppings. The stone steps leading up to the door were cracking from erosion, as were the now-turned-gray bricks that made up the building.
A beacon of light lost to the ravages of time.

“You said to use my room,” Kai defended, not even sounding the least bit offended by the accusation. Their banter was more so out of comfort than actually meaningful. It was probably just their meek attempt to stay awake long enough for Zane to get here. “Sorry if the elemental master of fire has a warm bedroom…”
