Summary
Caine can build worlds, conjure comforts, turn even the most mundane moments into something spectacular.
But between quiet conversations, handmade gifts, and the unexpected comfort of someone who sees past the performance, Caine begins to discover that caring for someone is not the same as understanding them. And when the fragile safety of the Circus begins to unravel, he is forced to confront the limits of everything he thought he could control.
Flora has never asked him to be anything more or less than what he is; somehow, that makes her the most frightening thing he has ever encountered.
In a world where existence itself is open to question, perhaps the most important thing is not finding a way out.
Perhaps it is finding a reason to stay.
