Warmth. The one comfort which Nico had been deprived of for far too long. Of course, it was no stranger to him, especially given the developments of recent years, but it was still no familiar either. Having spent years alone in places which would drive weaker minds mad, Nico had grown quite acquainted with sleeping in the rough, sometimes, completely shrouded in the cold darkness. Yet, despite its strangeness, this new sensation of warmth was certainly not unwelcomed. It was just…curious. It got curiouser he noticed that something long was draped across his chest. That source of warmth…was an arm. Which wasn’t his.

Just a quick walk through the old park to get to the subway station. No harm could come out of that, right? Nico has no reason to fear the dark. It bends its knee to him and he walks easily in darkness as he does in light. But other creatures too, do take refuge in the dark. And one in particular, is watching him, waiting for its chance to strike.
