From the time of Estel's youth, he and Legolas have shared a close bond. Tragedy in both their lives brings the two even closer and they must fight through adversity for their love to persevere. This is a series concerning the love between the Elf and Ranger and how it endures through extreme hardship and emotional trauma.

Notes:

The first story, "The Unfurling Leaf," is a short tale about Legolas as an Elfling. Although time-wise it occurs first, it was written after "Amelioration," so you might find it more meaningful to read after that tale. The second story, "Loudwater," is a short story about how Legolas and Estel first meet. The third story, "Warm Comfort," is a one chapter vignette about Estel and Legolas when the human is an adolescent. The fourth story, "Painful Memoirs," is a massive tale of the burgeoning love between the two amidst the conflict of physical and emotional trauma. The fifth story, "Induration," is an even longer story about how the two are sundered after several horrible setbacks. The sixth story, "Amelioration," is the tale of how Legolas finds his strength so that he and Estel can be together again. The seventh story, "Irruption," is a tale of supernatural beings, sacrifice, and loss, when Estel and Legolas try to help a small village in Eriador.

I've just begun posting the eighth story in the series, "Eschewal."
