Summary
Britannia has its own version of The Hunger Games, occurring annually. Area 11 has only won once before in living memory. Hopes are far from high for Suzaku and Lelouch, this year's Tributes, but they both have a plan.
Unfortunately, their plans are to lead the other to victory. Also, they can't seem to work together. Also, other Tributes have their eyes on them. Basically Suzaku's in over his head and Lelouch may have bitten off more than he can chew on this one, but neither of them are very good at resigning themselves to the inevitable.

Summary
While Lelouch and Suzaku have returned to Area 11 in one piece, the illusion of safety is quickly stripped away by Pendragon politics and Lelouch's screwed-up family. Their actions had consequences, and there is a price they must pay for their lives.
More Code Geass characters enter the mix as Lelouch and Suzaku return to the Games, once again fighting against other Tributes and the system that put them there. It's easy enough for them to get distracted by fighting for their lives and lose sight of the true enemy, but alliances and past grudges complicate matters even more.

Summary
The Hunger Games are over and the rebellion is under way. Suzaku is stuck in the role Lelouch was born to play, while Lelouch is stuck in Pendragon, unable and unwilling to help.
As tensions mount, they are tested to see just how broken they can get, by enemies and allies alike. They no longer have each other as supports, and find that as string as they were together, they have significant weaknesses when on their own. Trust isn't as cheep as it used to be and betrayal is inevitable in a civil war, and political jostling for power leaves behind ruin, but neither Lelouch nor Suzaku are content with merely being anyone else's tools.
