Summary
Izuku has never been the biggest fan of the Peer Gynt Suite. He finds it overplayed and a little cheesy, and would much rather listen to something else. Besides, he doesn’t even get to play for two of the movements, which are written for only strings. And while he does enjoy listening to his friends in the front of the orchestra with their soulful and dark melodies and bouncy pizzicato, he would rather be playing, or at least counting rests, because that means he’s going to play eventually.
That is, until he hears Todoroki Shouto play the oboe solo in Morning Mood.

Summary
Shouto has finally found a consistent source of happiness in his tiresome life. Because Izuku was able to break down his walls and get him to start writing music again, he’s felt more free and unrestrained than he ever has. And Izuku’s smile, fond and endearing and everything Shouto never got to have growing up, is the brightest part of his world.
Still, his father is a stubborn and prideful man, and he doesn’t back down without a fight. Shouto’s time has finally run out.
