He pays no mind to the hero until he gets a bike thrown at him and thinks maybe there's more to this hero than meets the eye. About this he's very wrong, with Mumen Rider, what you see is what you get and it's infuriating!

After the events of my Like the Spokes of a Wheel, though ya don't gotta really read that long ass thing to get this fic. This is just self-indulgent fluff, smut, and writing more about Sonic working as a hero and more drama and more of this pairing and the dynamic etc. etc.
Sonic and Mumen Rider are in a pretty happy relationship. For the most part. Sonic keeps too many secrets, says too little, but when he does speak it's all the right things. They have their differences, but so long as they love each other do white lies really matter?
Mumen thinks not, until Sonic starts coming home battered and tight-lipped. They're visiting each other's families for the upcoming Obon holiday and Mumen wants it to go well, but can it if he can't stop worrying? Even if the ninja claims it's nothing, he's going to get to the bottom of it.
