The Cullen in these stories is quite different from the canon Cullen, though he does share the self-loathing and the feeling that he is not worthy of his Inquisitor's love. Otherwise, he is kinky, dirty, brash, and much more overtly sexual than canon Cullen.

Evelyn Trevelyan is a young mage who is very innocent and acts as a foil for Cullen's rough, brash worldliness. She falls in love with her handsome Commander and will do anything to prove that to him.
