Summary
Caleb sits up and runs a hand through his messy strands of greasy red hair, feeling self-conscious as he considers how close that face had been to his and the warm lips on his forehead days before. “I'm sorry. It's not my intention to ruin the celebration,” he murmurs.
Molly reaches out and gently touches his arm. “Don't apologize, Caleb. You don't have any reason to. I don't know entirely what was going through your head, but I’ve been in similar situations. Sometimes you just need some you time.”
And then Molly smiles, flashing sharp fangs, and cocks his head. “Other times you need a little help along the way. I got you something while you were sleeping.”

Summary
“All I wanted was my books and I cannot even have those,” Caleb finishes and shrinks back into his matted and battered coat. “I hate this city.”
It very clearly hasn't been Caleb’s day.
Maybe Molly can help.

Summary
Trapped in a cavern after seeking shelter during a thunderstorm and separated from the group, Molly and Caleb are forced to confront things that may or may not be there.
---
Molly is everything Caleb is not. Bright and colorful, empathetic and charitable, confident and sly. His presence is overwhelming in so many ways. Caleb doesn’t not like him, but it's a lot like looking directly at the sun or being in the middle of a very lavender and ostentatious hurricane. Ill advised at least, dangerous at most.
Molly is beautiful in the same way a poisonous flower is. Look but don't touch, it says, and Caleb rather likes to put a good distance between himself and danger.

Summary
After the run-in with his nebulous past and introgation via party members, Molly wakes from a nightmare and finds unexpected comfort in Caleb.
---
Caleb pushes close, pinning Molly between him and the barrel with his leg in an unexpected display of dominance. “Tell me what you want me to do.”
Molly leans forward to the shell of Caleb’s ear. “I want you to tie me up and fuck me so hard that I can't think or walk straight tomorrow,” he whispers, rubbing himself on Caleb’s thigh. “I want to chase away all the bad memories of that fucking bar with memories of you in me. ”
He pulls away and grins at Caleb’s blushing cheeks and how blown wide his pupils are. Maybe this isn't as much of a one-sided indulgence as he thought it was.

Summary
Please, let this work, Caleb pleads to whichever gods are watching in. They need this, he needs this. He can't bear to continue on without Mollymauk Tealeaf’s vibrant presence in his life. As overwhelming as he could be, nothing feels right without him. The world is bleak and colorless and holds so little meaning.
It's selfish, but it's true, and it's awful that it took his death for Caleb to realize how Molly’s absence affected everything around them, around him. And he can't help but feel responsible for it.
