Summary
The year was 4065. The 111th Indoline Praetor, Vandham, had begun preparations for an armed expedition against the country of Tantal. An undeterred quaestor Amalthus, after years of gathering loyal followers, saw his chance to make a move. But things go awry, and Amalthus finds himself drifting across the clouds with a new Blade and an exiled Special Inquisitor.
