Summary
“Look at this,” Sybil held out a popular magazine, pointing at a small blurb, “‘Mister Alexander stunned the entire country with his beneficiary program, what do you think of it?’” She read it with the inflection of a news channel host. She then directed his attention to the chart showing the results of the poll- it was a pie chart. Alexander was shocked to see that just over half thought it was ‘a bold, but impossible idea’.
It finally comes down to this; six Elite left, three boys and three girls. Alexander is just one of them.

"“Mister Alexander.” The television host... leaned forward with a microphone in hand. “How does it feel to be one of the Elite?”
“Uh.” Alexander glanced at the camera... “It's overwhelming.” He said, vastly under-exaggerating the truth. He didn't want to show weakness; the whole ordeal had become more of a game of hunt, and he didn't want to be the fresh meat laid out for the lions. “But I'm excited.” He gave the camera a practiced, tempered smile.
“Fantastic! Can't wait to see more of you guys’ lives here in the palace.” He rose and the cameraman went with him, focusing on someone else."
The Selection is down to the final ten- the Elite. The stakes are high and the question is raised: who will be the next prince-consort?

It was barely a whisper, but it echoed loudly in Spencer's ears. Almost immediately his heart started pounding, and he couldn't help but feel slightly apprehensive. Of all the people Aaron could possibly choose, why would the dark-haired man choose him? He wasn't sure why he was even still there, truth be told. All the other candidates surpassed him in a multitude of ways, minus that of intelligence. But to be considered alongside females and still be there?
