I was on my second burger when I glanced up and looked at my brother.He was gorging on a chicken burger- the juice dripping down his face. On his face was a large grin- one that I hadn’t seen him wear in centuries.
I stopped eating.
Mortality had changed him- made him softer, more weak in terms of a god.
But it had made him happy.
I smiled- if my crazy brother was happy, that was enough for me.
Maybe mortals weren’t so bad after all.
(Mortals apart from my hunters- they are are exceptions)
And sitting here, eating weird mortal food with my brother made me feel warm inside- more so than any ambrosia I’ve ever had.
