Summary
The suit and wing-drapes had been specially tailored to completely cover the white feathers on his neck and chest. Swathes of black velvet fell over his shoulders, clipped to his wing-wrists and blending into his glossy feathers.
Mumbo tugged on the cuff of his sleeve, shifting slightly. He felt… dishonest. He was lying, kind of. Just a little bit. He had been promised in marriage as a true-blooded prince of Corvus, not a white-feathered half-breed.
Admittedly, getting married off to a foreigner was probably the only good thing he could do for Corvus now. He just hoped the Xanths wouldn't be too offended by the deception.
