Chapter 9:
Eivor and Randvi spend a season apart, miserable, pining, but have to face some difficult truths. Eivor has more adopted Uncles. Unni grows up, Styrbjorn still doesn't trust Eivor's plans, and Eivor gets fed up. Randvi resigns herself with Sigurd's impending return, and all that entails.
