Summary
The Mediterranean Sea has served as a means of connecting two different worlds for thousands of years. Wars were fought, alliances were made, and even love was found amidst its waters. Eager to show the world its splendor, the Sardegna Empire has financed a five-star cruise traveling across its waters. They’ve hired two capable officers to act as her shepherds to keep her guests safe from harm.
Leutnant zur see Albert Kesler is the first of these shepherds, faithfully serving as the Logistics Officer of Commander Alexander Cochrane. Upon hearing of the offer, he was warmly encouraged by both his superior and his adoring girlfriends to accept it.
Commander Richard Horatio Cunningham is the second shepherd of this voyage. Though inexperienced as a military leader, his diplomatic skills were sought after by Sardegna. He gladly accepted the offer to escort the ship.
On this cruise, the two men will meet each other. They were far from strangers; if anything, they were close acquaintances. Both men lived rather similar lifestyles, after all. But perhaps the voyage would do more than reaffirm their bond of friendship… perhaps it could unite them as one, just as so many others were united by the Mediterranean.
