Summary
Once upon a time, I wrote Person of Interest recaps focused on Root and Shaw for a website. Then the site went down the drain and we all quit. So, fuck it: here they are. They're mine and I wrote them. Unfortunately, all the gifs and images I had incorporated into these pieces seem no longer to be hosted, and it's too much work to try to figure out what each "Oops!" image refers to, so the visual component will not be reproduced. (In some cases, where an image was directly illustrating something I was talking about in the text, I have to edit the writing around that; it's been years, and I can no longer reconstruct everything from memory.)
Since The Site That Shall Not Be Named is apparently taking people's old work down without notice, the main purpose here is to preserve these pieces for me and for the people who care(d) about them (thank you!). I hope all enjoy.

She looks out across the backyard with a smile, her hands on her hips and the gentle breeze tugging her dark hair as if asking her to play. After a moment her smile wavers just slightly - the barest of twitches curling her lips down when no head of wild blonde hair pops up from amongst the tall, swaying grasses. He never goes very far from the house, but he never ignores their calls either. Taking a deep breath, she tries again; calling a little louder just in case he has wandered farther than usual.
