Summary
"Listen, Chat, we're going to give Rae a little gift."
Fable lifts his head, beady eyes peering across the room. His child is pacing, hands waving at nothing, and, gods forbid, are talking to themself. Their hair is sticking up in odd places, and the god itches to smooth out the strands. Instinctually, he goes to stretch out his fingers, but he lets out an annoyed cluck when he spreads his talons.
His child pivots and stops at a chest. "Our dear friend Enderian sent us some supplies."
Fable clucks in surprise. Enderian? His fellow god who turned him into a chicken?---
OR: Fable is actually Charles the chicken. After a run-in with his fellow God Enderian, he reunites with his child at last. Thus begins their reconciliation.... or does it?

He stiffens as feet settle on the ground behind him, and it takes everything in him not to cower. He turns, eyes meeting Sherbert’s heterochromatic ones, and he shivers–and it’s not from the rain.
“Sherbert,” he greets, throat tight.---
