Summary
Some stories don’t end with grand confessions or dramatic kisses.
Some stories end quietly, with a boy watching another walk away under stage lights, holding words he’ll never say.
Harry June had to learn it the hard way.

Summary
Junseo had this song on the setlist for a while and Lune didn't think much about it. He figured he would sit backstage and watch Junseo sing a love song while planning how to confess his blossoming feelings.
Instead, he was home and confessing over a phone call was no way to confess at all.

Summary
It’s always been nothing more than fleeting moments - the glint of an eye hidden beneath long black hair, the brief reassuring touch of a shoulder beneath his hand, the sideways secret smile that Dongil bestows upon him sometimes that Changmin guards like a treasure. Dongil doesn’t mean anything by it, not really.
(or: dongil, changmin, and the inherent romanticism of longing for something you can't have.)

Summary
When they first met, they agreed that honorifics wouldn’t be necessary between them. It especially helped when they were decided as the two leaders. If one was above the other, that could lead to tension between them on who actually had the last call on decisions.
That’s what Changmin told himself, at least.
There was a tension between them, one he couldn’t really name. They were both naturally competitive, but most of their so-called “rivalry” was just a show for the camera. They got along well and took care of each other after making sure the needs of the group were met. Dongil was kind and pretty and a hard worker and— Changmin knew precisely what the tension between them was, but he refused to acknowledge it in any meaningful way.
or, in which dongil tries his best to make changmin talk about his feelings in a very unconventional way

Summary
Lune had known Heechan since they were kids; helped him when his longtime crush Gwanghyun asked him out; and trusted him about 12%.
So when Heechan decided to introduce Lune to his friend ("Think about the double dates!") Lune declined. Yes, he and Heechan were best friends. And yes, he was super protective when he and Gwanghyun got together. But no, he didn't trust Heechan's taste in men.

Summary
Timing is a fickle thing. When they meet, Dongil is a disillusioned celebrity run away from his old life and Changmin is a reckless dreamer stealing to keep his band afloat. Timing also isn't always right. Maybe healing and fame come tied together, and maybe they don't. Where does a broken heart sit along the chords of a heavy rock song and where does unbridled optimism wedge its way into a cynical realism bread from experience? Timing... well, timing is fucked.
God I dont know, I just thought DKB needed more fics so here's my attempt at some good old leader interaction. Also like, they'd make a stellar rock band, right?
(I just finished it and i’m super sad because I loved writing this fic with all my heart)
