“Hey!” Apollo yelped, but it was a godly yelp so it was okay. “That’s not the way to greet the guy who gave you your superior musical talent, is it?”
And there, there was the recognition in Duke’s eyes, as well as the jaw drop.
“No. Way. Nope. Nada,” He spluttered, and Apollo grinned. “No way in Tar—uh, hell that you’re, you know, Him.”
“I guess you better check again, because I’m here, in the flesh.” His grin faltered, and he chuckled tonelessly. “That’s actually what I’m here to talk to you about, funnily enough.”
