After seeing Brandon Routh reprise his role as Superman on Crisis In Infinite Earths, this was born!
In this story, after the Crisis, instead of the Earth-38 and Earth-1 merging, their worlds stay separate; not only that, but they can no longer breach each other's earth. He was leaving the heroes of Earth-1 unable to see their superfriends or call for their help. But one day, a purple stone crashes into a retired Ray Palmer's lab. The incident causes Ray to fall into a coma for five months; when he wakes, he finds himself with powers very similar to Superman; not only that but his cousin Karen Starr, who happens to look like a brunette Kara Danvers, visits, claiming to have the same powers. And with the help of new friends known as the New JSA, the two begin to learn how to live with these powers.
