Summary
It was rare that Guiding interfered directly with the humans. Normally, all it did was gathered them up once they died, and returned them to the start to try and find their way through once more. It gave its advice and sent them off with gentle murmurs of encouragement they would never remember.
Jeff could take care of himself. Guiding knew this. Even if he was peaceful, choosing to assist human visitors instead of fighting them like many of the other entities did, he was far from helpless.
That didn’t mean it wouldn’t step in if he was harmed. -

Summary
There are two ways for humans to exit the Hotel and the realm it existed in.
Number one, make it through every level and find the exit, and be returned to their normal lives.
Number two, give up and accept death.Guiding finds the weight of all those who took the second route a bit heavier than expected.
