"A word on the tome you hold. In the heyday of our order, it was customary for newly-elected Archmages to set out on sacred pilgrimage. Seeking to broaden our horizons and deepen our understanding of magic, we recorded our many adventures and discoveries herein. Some of us dwelled among pirates. Others took part in revolutions.
