“Do you ever feel like—” And Maple’s voice is so soft. Bluebear almost can’t hear it with the rain in the background. “—something is different?”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s silly but,” Maple sounds nervous now. There aren’t many things in this world that can make Maple nervous. “Let’s say—Let’s say I figured something out. And it makes the world look like I’ve never seen it before.”

Bluebear would do anything in the world for her best friend, Maple. Things like agree when Maple asks Bluebear to join her on a one month camping trip. Things like ignoring her own feelings the entire time because Bluebear has been in love with Maple for years. Things like keeping her paw to herself when Maple’s is next to hers, because no matter how much Bluebear wants to be closer, it isn’t worth losing her best friend.
