“Back so soon Solace?” That now familiar dulcet voice responded to his gargled hiss. Immediately he straightened up, letting his tail coil behind him as the sole inhabitant of Purgatory greeted him.
“Unfortunately yes,” the man huffed, watching as the Ferrylady appeared in front of him, plush lips curled in a concerned frown at the sight of his sorry looking state. “I hope business has been as usual for you, Minerva.”
To everyone else she was simply the Ferrylady, the elusive warden and caretaker of Purgatory. The shepherd of the dead, an entity Urbanshade wanted nothing more than to subjugate and exploit like him.
But to Sebastian, ever since that first panicked meeting—his first death—she was Minerva. That was her name, the name she had before Urbanshade turned her into this.
Just like he was the Saboteur to Urbanshade and their teams of Expendables, she was the Ferrylady.
