Summary
It was a mission just like all the others. Violence was enacted with gross indifference and more blood ran down Sol's hands into the steadily rising ocean of supposedly justified crimson.
It was a mission just like all the others. Sol chose to do it. Believes in the cause behind it. Doesn't need to jump through hoops in order to justify it in her head.
It was a mission just like all the others, but as Sol stumbled out of their transference pod, barely catching themselves before they fell face first onto the laminated wood beneath them, it didn't feel that way.
