Summary
Shattershield is surprised to meet a familiar face when the Global Mounted Paladin Inspectors Order catches up with the changes currently taking place within Dragon D'Or. What surprises him even more, though, is the 'distraction' that Max suggests to get away from the camp itself.

It almost feels to Shattershield as if it should not be allowed, to feel so much, to fall so deeply. In truth, he struggles to find words for how grateful he is that Max can coax from him the questions he needs to ask, let alone that they will reassure him of their answers.
Or: Shattershield is insecure about his developing feelings for Max. Max has never been accused of being subtle.
