Summary
Regulus Black is determined to prove himself, both to his family and to Hogwarts. As the star Seeker for the Slytherin Quidditch team, he’s obsessed with winning the Quidditch Cup, not just for glory, but to show everyone, especially James Potter, that he’s the best. Regulus harbors a deep resentment towards James, who he sees as an arrogant and infuriating rival.
James Potter, on the other hand, finds Regulus’s disdain amusing. The Gryffindor Quidditch Captain loves to push Regulus’s buttons, seeing it as a game within the game.
As the final match of the season approaches, both are forced to confront their feelings and the true nature of their rivalry. Every game brings Marlene closer to her goal of being the best player in the British and Irish Quidditch League and winning the cup for her team. There's just one problem.
Dorcas Meadowes.
Meadowes flies like she was born on a broom, and no matter how hard Marlene works, she can't beat her. But after a player transfer at the start of the season brings Meadowes into closer contact with her than Marlene would like, she will have to learn to work with Meadowes, not against her.
A fic focused on the ladies of the marauders era as they navigate their third quidditch season together and all the drama that comes with it. This fic is Dorlene centered and all about the girls. No marauders boys are included in this story.

Or – It’s been months. Months of Dorcas brushing past her in the hallways, of their eyes meeting above the cauldron in Potions, of meaningless bickering and attempted duels in front of empty classrooms.
