IAW2021 Day #2: "Siblings."
Rex visited his family once, decided not to hurt them out of revenge, then subsequently decided that he'd move on and forget they ever existed. He'd never visit them again, or check up on them again, or even think of them again. As far as he was concerned, they were dead to him. He did not, and never would, care.
It should be mentioned that Rex is also a liar and an idiot.

Mark shrugs and follows Rex to the bed. As soon Rex sat down on the somewhat comfy surface, Mark joined beside him, then laid down and rested his head in Rex’s lap. He sighed comfortably when he felt the man's warm, fleshy hand trail his fingers into his hair.
“Rex?”
“Yeah?”
“Where do you think we'll be in five hundred years?”

Summary
Un terrible accidente durante una operación contra un grupo de terroristas deja como resultado varios heridos. Una serie de explosiones derrumbó varios edificios y Rex, fue el señalado debido a la característica destrucción de las mismas.
Indignado, el moreno abandona a los guardianes del mundo y se lanza a la calle esperando encontrarse con una nueva oportunidad para buscar al culpable de su infortunio.
Normalmente, siendo él, le importaría un carajo la expulsión y seguiría con su existencia hasta que volvieran a necesitarlo. Pero esta vez, prefería hacerse explotar a si mismo, que darle el gusto al idiota de Invencible de señalarlo como un juez redentor y recibir una amonestación por un error que ni siquiera fue su culpa.
Rex juró que le cerraría el pico a Mark, y que lo obligaría a disculparse de rodillas por acusarlo y hundir su nombre.
