Vittorio’s lifeless body sprang to mind, the memory flashing so violently Bailey could taste bile at the back of her throat. And then there was Swan. Mangled, dying Swan, crushed by the metal of the ferris wheel cabin. Bailey had seen too many corpses already, and the thought of Shirazi having ended up like that after everything he’d done for her made her retch onto the ground.
On her way back from the Death Stalkers' hideout, Bailey struggles with not only the lunar dust in her system, but also the traumatic situations she's gone through over the past few days and weeks.
