Summary
Thinking back, it probably started at Narita; a strange golden energy formed around the White Helmet in Lelouch's view, but he was too busy getting himself and C.C. to safety to wonder on that and why the Knightmare stopped working soon after.
Lloyd has many questions why the Lancelot isn't working but still seems to drain the energy fillers that are put in it. But perhaps he shouldn't have chosen to pursue those questions by continuing giving it energy fillers...because now, there is something else stalking the world.
Suzaku knows what happened, but doesn't care—he's back in time to before so much woe happened, even like this, and he has only one goal in mind...

Summary
Lelouch has a lot to deal with as secretly Zero, leader of the Black Knights, and also doubly so secretly Lelouch vi Britannia, Britannian Royalty in exile.
The complication that is Lancelot, a strange monster born of flesh and metal—a Knightmare turned into a Nightmare—just adds on to it. But really, outside of that strange being and his particular interest in him, there is something else he has to worry about.
Kururugi Suzaku is his childhood friend and, as it turns out, the pilot of the Z-01 Lancelot previously and now set to be piloting the Z-01' Lancelot Enhanced once it is completed. He's not meant to be his enemy, but the ally he can trust with Nunnally's safety.
So, for the sake of that, for the sake of taking Suzaku out of a dangerous system that will have him dead soon, Lelouch decides to bite into the bait given...knowing he has more surprises than Britannia can counter with the aid of the monster called Lancelot...
...or so is the plan.

Summary
Things feel like they are both rapidly spinning out of control but also pushing towards a better trajectory. Lelouch isn't quite sure about how he feels about it all, especially when Geass ends up alluded to for the first time at a Black Knights meeting.
Still, his focus will have to be on the fig leaf invasion from the Chinese Federation. He needs to deal with that first and foremost...and come to a decision about one Anya Alstreim along the way.
And Lancelot waits, feeling hope beating in his chest, as things shift further and further away from what was his past and into a new dawn...

Summary
After all of the Kyushu incident has been wrapped up, it is time for Ashford's summer festival! It will be some time before either side between Black Knights and Britannia need to do anything, so Lelouch decides to take the opportunity to relax as best he can.
It's not that relaxing however, when Milly decides he needs to dress up as the “Festival Bride”. Or Euphemia sneaking over to meet him, resulting a conversation Lelouch wasn't quite ready to have—no matter that it is still a very important conversation to have with Euphemia and Suzaku. But perhaps even with that, he can find some peace and happiness, before everything must move again.
Meanwhile, Lancelot has decided it is the time to deal with a certain threat within the Black Knights...

Summary
Things are shifting in the Black Knights. With Ohgi Kaname ousted from his position as second-in-command, being under investigation and scrutiny for traitorous acts, and a new second-in-command needed to replace him, there is a lot of work to be done to further restructure the Black Knights.
The bright spot in all of this, is that Princess Euphemia li Britannia's knighting of Suzaku Kururugi is having the effect everyone wished for.
But for Lelouch, he has to make the decision now, as he has been thinking and even promised Kallen. He has to bring up Geass to the core members of the Black Knights, in preparation for what Britannia might bring to bear in the future...

Some months into Lancelot's arrival, and life for Lelouch has settled into a new ordinary. He plays shogi now with Tohdoh, on a semi-regular basis. The Black Knights' general membership has been brought into the know of the ultimate goal of their group and are preparing for it. And Euphemia has made some small but crucial progress that has gathered the less willing to out right defy Britannia around her as banner carrier.
It is, in a fashion, a peaceful time for Lelouch. And as a result, there's a part of his brain raising up warning bells. Safe and peace doesn't last long for him. It never does. One day, it will break...

Summary
Everything has changed, more rapidly than Cornelia can keep track of. Kururugi's defection, Euphemia going with him, and the Black Knights being unable to be found after they disappeared after rescuing the Lancelot Monster. The one question remains, is what she will do now, going forwards?
Lelouch has a short time left to prep for a war, but he has the people and supplies for it. He needs to first focus on his friends, on Nunnally, before he has to return to being Zero for an extended time.
And they are not the only ones who has a choice to make, a decision to make, on what they will do in the coming war and what side they will choose to be on...

Summary
Time is not a river. Time is an ocean, with currents. With multiple timelines moving at different paces. If one knows how to swim, they can get to where they will. But it's easier to swap currents than to swim against one.
That's the answer for how he's here. As for why...he's right there in front of Lelouch again, is he not?
Even if she isn't entirely what he expected, this is still Lelouch. The one he will be the true Knight for. And that brat can't say anything against it. He already picked the false princess over the real princess of his heart. A bigger fool is the Kururugi Suzaku native to this timeline.

Summary
The United Republic of Japan has been declared and held against Britannia. The Chinese Federation's support, as well as other countries like the EU collective and even the neutral Australia have also acknowledged their status as a free, independent nation again.
There is still a lot to do. The government has to be solidified, they have to organize handling the various people both Britannian and Japanese currently living here, and they know that Britannia will not rest any time soon—not with the sakuradite as the public goal and the secret goal of two Thought Elevators being in their hands.
But for now, Lelouch and the rest can breath easily...and look to a better future than they expected just a year prior...
