Summary
Doug's known about his headmate for years and all they've done. A new voice joins the cacaphony of his usual madness, his greatest companion, and his own fleeting words.
It's written like poetry, but really Doug thinks like that anyways.

Summary
As a “thoughtful” baby shower gift, Penelope and Colin find themselves trapped in a twin-focused holistic birthing workshop led by a glitter-wearing doula named Marla and her haiku-reciting husband Doug. With foam pelvises, inflatable tunnels, and spiritual breathing contests on the itinerary, Colin discovers there’s no dignity in enlightenment—but maybe a lot of love, laughter, and pelvic floor stretches. A chaotic one-shot of parenthood prep, twin energy, and deeply inappropriate metaphors.

Bookmarker's Notes
He’s practically buried between them now, and she can’t imagine it’s at all comfortable, but the shaky sound that escapes him speaks to such naked relief that she doesn’t consider loosening her grip. And perhaps for the first time, she considers the full impact of floating alone in a half-dead shuttle for hundreds of days. How it took the irritating, loud, sociable Eiffel and chewed him up and spat out the person currently clutching her shirt like he’s afraid she’ll disappear if he lets go. Back in the beginning of the mission, she thinks she’d have better appreciated the change. Now, it just terrifies her.
