“-oss? Sir? H-hey!”
Robert feels two oddly warm hands shake him by his shoulders; for a second, he thinks to himself that the sensation of being gently rocked back and forth is a nice one. Out of nowhere, though, another sensation hits him–something warm and wet pressing against his lips. Then, a powerful blow to the chest.
Robert’s eyes unceremoniously shoot open to the sight of an extremely distressed Waterboy leaning in for what looked like a slobbery French kiss. Wasting no time, Robert jolts up and grabs Waterboy by the shoulders, pushing him away and against a wall in one swift motion.
“Ok, kid. What the actual fuck is going on?”

“What made you cut it?” Robert glances at him from the corner of his eye, a playful grin tugging the corner of his lips.
“Wet wavy hair is even w-worse to deal with when it’s l-long.”
“Did you like it though? I mean– do you ever miss having long hair?”
Herman thinks about it for a minute, before shaking their head. “Not really. I kind of like where my hair is right now; it’s easy to mana– work with; not too long, and n-not too short.”
Robert nods, reaching up to smooth his fingers up the nape of Herman’s neck, the damp, red curls soft under his calloused hands. Herman shivers, leaning slightly into Robert’s touch. “I think I like it this length too. But if you did change it, I’d probably like that too, though I might be a little biased, since it’s you.”
Herman feels warmth blooming brightly in their cheeks; he redirects the conversation to give himself a bit of reprieve, “W-what about you? Did you ever have long hair?"
Robert frowns, a sort of pained, humorless expression that Herman doesn’t like seeing on his boyfriend’s face. It usually means he’s about to reveal something heartbreaking about himself.

Summary
When Z-Team overhears a conversation between Robert and Phenomaman that they shouldn't have, they learn something alarming about their dispatcher. he hasn't had a heat in ten years! Robert doesn't understand why that's a problem. Heats aren't a big deal, he doesn't need them. His doctor, however, thinks it’s a very big deal and decide the best course of action is to force a heat to get him back on the right path.
Now Robert has three options: stay with Chase, stay with one of the Z-team or go to a heat house to ride out this forced heat. Can Z-Team prove they are worthy enough to help him through this?
