Summary
Raskolnikov knew what he looked like, and although Razumikhin had visited him often in prison – had held his bruised fingers through the bars and blown on them for warmth – he had not yet seen him like this. Raskolnikov felt the prickling of shame.
‘Brother,’ Razumikhin said softly. ‘I have come this far. Won’t you look at me?’
(Takes place one year after the events of 'Crime and Punishment'. Razumikhin visits Raskolnikov in Sibera, and sees him for the first time in two years.)
