Kanda was 21. He was 21, and Allen Walker roared into his life like a summer downpour. He was so gangly and thin, but he was also pretty with that white hair and those grey eyes. It made Kanda want to be mean, made him want to be cruel, so that he could keep Allen at arm's length. So that Allen Walker would want to avoid him, ultimately making things easier for him.
Since beginning his second life, Kanda had never once been attracted to another person. He was too focused, too goal-oriented. But Allen Walker? Staring at the tip of his sword in abject terror? There was something about him that made Kanda's heart race. He hated it. He didn't have time for it.

Summary
“Come on, Yu, you can tell me. I’m not going to tell anyone.” Being the Bookman in training (a.k.a. busybody) that he was, Lavi had a vested interest in what names appeared on who. Being as keen-eyed as he was, he usually got what he wanted even when people tried to hide the names from him.
Kanda had tried. For the longest time, he did his best to hide his wrists from Lavi, even going so far as to wear sweatbands and thick stacks of bracelets to obscure the black ink. His exorcist uniform always worked in his favor, the sleeves long and fitted.

Or where Lavi is very interested in knowing the names that appear on everyone else, and is surprised by the ones he finds on his friends.

Up ahead was a group of them, blocking their exit. Kanda wrapped an arm around his waist, and Allen tensed instinctively.
“Hold on,” He stated suddenly, and Allen only had a split second to grab the front of Kanda’s shirt before they were flying through the air together. All the blood drained from his face as Kanda grabbed both of his hands.
What the fuck kind of magic—
“Just walk,” came Kanda’s advice, whispered against the curve of his ear. He wanted to punch him in the face for the lack of warning that they’d be walking through the bloody sky. Nevertheless, he straightened out his legs and did as he was instructed. “Not so hard, is it Moyashi?”
