Note: This is a post-canon fic and while it's obviously going to be end-game bakudeku i'm not trying to throw any shade or hate at Uraraka, sweet cinnamon role that she is.

Izuku hesitates. He’s grateful—deeply—but ultimately turns him down. He explains that he wants to forge his own path, one that isn’t tied to their past or built in someone else’s shadow.
He wants to stand beside Katsuki someday, not under him.
But Katsuki hears rejection, not reasoning.
He doesn’t argue.
