Summary
Dread fills him when he sees her thrashing on their bed, head moving side to side rapidly, chest heaving with the force of her breathing, tear-stained cheeks and eyes fully shut. He moves rapidly but carefully as he gathers her in his arms, eyes wetting and heart squeezing painfully as he fully registers what’s going on. Lucy is having a nightmare and worse than that, he knows exactly what this nightmare is about.
