Summary
Cody has had enough of idiotic nat-born officers who are nothing more than a bunch of whiny morons. And that includes his Jedi General, Qui-Gon Jinn.
Jinn, who has a bad habit of stating he "follows the will of the Force" instead of following the will of the Senate and Council. And honestly, Cody wouldn't mind if following the will of the Force included filling out a requisition form every once in awhile.
But, Cody can handle it. He can adapt to it. He can deal with Qui-Gon Jinn disappearing without a word. He can deal with Tarkin being an asshole. He can deal with it all. And he has been dealing with it all for the past month.
That is, until another wrench is thrown into his carefully constructed battle plans. A wrench that goes by the name Obi-Wan Kenobi. Jinn's padawan is everything Cody hates and more. He doesn't listen. He goes off on his own. And he seems to expect special treatment just because he's a Jedi who killed a sith.
Well, Cody's not going to let him win. He is not going to let Obi-Wan Kenobi use him like all the other nat-born officers use him. And no! He does not think Kenobi is nice to look at. Not one bit. So quit asking.

Summary
Obi-Wan mopes on Tatooine.
Meanwhile…
CC-2224 is on a dangerous mission and sustains a rather serious head injury. He makes a full recovery but because he is old and a clone (we all know the Empire is very xenophobic) the Empire uses his injury as an excuse to send him to what is basically a punishment post to “retire him”. They send him to Tatooine.

Summary
Cody is more than a little stressed being the Mand'alor and all. His brothers hatch the brilliant plan to take him out for drinks, get him talking to some hot people, and maybe (just maybe) get laid. Their plans go awry when Cody meets the beautiful and intelligent Ben.
It's love at first sight! Or, at the very least, lust at first sight. And Cody is all on board to get to know Ben more.
But, when Ben drugs him and steals his vambraces, Cody is left reeling and heartbroken from the encounter. Was Ben just using him for some quick cash? Or is there something else going on?

Summary
It was a solid plan. Still, in the end they had all known there was a giant ‘if’ to it. But in a way, they had been counting on the best possible outcome. Maybe most of them had not been ready to think the alternative, keeping the possibility of it theoretical enough that they needn’t consider what it would actually mean if it went differently.
Obi-Wan had. Maybe he is the one most prepared of them all because he knew his luck. And now that foresight may be all that keeps the Order and the Vod’e from falling apart as they face the largest paradigm shift since the Ruusan Reformation.
Either way, it will test them to their limits. And that’s not even considering their problems with the Sith.

Summary
Cody doesn’t trust the Jedi—Prime made sure to teach him about their deceit and lies. His new general is the worst of them all, with his false compassion and fake promises.
Obi-wan himself has all the patience in the world, until it comes to his frustrating, disrespectful commander. In short, they hate each other. The only thing that gets Cody through the day are the mysterious comms from “Ben” who is witty, and kind, and makes Cody smile. He doesn’t know who Ben is, but he hopes to someday meet the man who he can’t help but start falling for. He’s perfect in every way and is so clearly the opposite of everything Cody hates about his general. Why couldn't he be working with Ben, instead of his stuck-up, petty general?
