There's something very wrong with Minho’s desk when he walks into the office that morning, coffees in hand and work bag slung over his shoulder.
Felix peeks over the flimsy gray divider separating his desk’s from Minho’s and visibly brightens. “Oh! The flowers! I didn't know you had a secret admirer, hyung!”

“Umm hi Chan hyung.” Seungmin is formal. They’re not how they used to be, of course he can’t call him the soft names he used to.
“Wow you haven’t called me that in a while.” He fiddles with his fingers, clearly nervous about something.
“You haven’t called me, so I guess it’s even.” Seungmin is hurt, of course his responses are filled with venom. Chan hasn’t properly spent time with him in half a decade, and now he shows up on his doorstep to boast about his marriage in person? Even Satan would find that cruel.

“Do you remember two weeks ago when I bought you coffee twice in a row instead of alternating like usual and you said you owed me?” Seungmin asks without any sort of preface. Minho blinks at him uncomprehendingly. “I’m here to cash in the favour now.”
“You interrupted my rest time at ass o’clock in the middle of the week to come ask for a coffee I owe you?”
Seungmin shakes his head. “No. I need you to pretend to date me.”
Minho blinks at him again, then shuts the door in his face.After confessing and getting rejected by his best friend, Seungmin comes up with an elaborate plan to save face that involves fake dating Minho in order to prove that he's moving on. There's no chance of feelings from either side, since they're both already caught up in their unrequited ones - right?

Summary
Logically, Seungmin knows he’s drowning in the nectar sweet days of a honeymoon phase because he’s no longer horrified at waking up to a “goodnight ❣️” text from Hyunjin sent at 4:04 AM and doesn’t flinch after waiting to send a corresponding “good morning” text after Hyunjin's alarm goes off at 1:20, 1:25, 1:30, 1:35, 1:40, and 1:45 PM. Illogically though, Seungmin doesn’t know why. Because none of this is real.
