Summary
Richard F. Days had never thought he'd become a Spartan- though to be fair, clearly neither had the UNSC based on the number of waivers he'd had to sign. Something about it being a bad idea to start the program after forty years of orbital drops had left him mostly held together by titanium and stubbornness, or whatever the lab mice were on about. Turns out all the king's horses and all the king's men had vastly underestimated the magnitude of ODST obstinacy, and much to everyone's surprise, had put him together again.
...With no fewer spare parts than he'd had before, obviously, but didn't he tell them all he needed was some fancy bio-enhancement and a quick tear-down and rebuild? Good as new!
Now Spartan Days is only missing one last critical component, and it's past time to collect.
