Summary
Miles Quaritch failed his first mission to kill Jake Sully, the leader of the Na’vi insurgency. Now, the RDA and Bridgehead Command have a new mission for him and his surviving recoms, Wainfleet and Mansk—a mission to gather intel and make an alliance with the newly contacted Ash People, a Na'vi clan endemic to a volcanic archipelago. What’s at first just orders will slowly come to change the young Colonel’s life and his relationship with Pandora, his son, and the RDA forever.

This story is essentially an Avatar 3 (with heat and flare!) through Miles Quaritch's eyes after the events of the Way of Water and continuing his parallels with Jake Sully. The story expands to a film-sized scope as it progresses. Features Miles' existential crisis & also movie-era flashbacks. Lyle Wainfleet and Mansk are also greatly developed. Did my best to be logical and reasonable with the movies' set canon and sequel foreshadowing. Also, if smut is not your thing, there's not a lot and it's written to be skippable! Summary
Ivy is stuck in the Hallelujah mountains with the one and only Recom Miles Quaritch, and in the aftermath of Avatar: The Way of Water, he is grumpy and tired, an awful combination with the sarcastic recently reinstated army medic. The colonel keeps his secrets and his new medic close, but Ivy has secrets of her own, and being stuck in a tiny shack on a floating mountain is jeopardizing her work. However, after some time together, they realise they have some things in common, pain being one of them. Maybe Ivy's love for the forest will help open the colonel's eyes? And maybe caring for a traumatized recom will change Ivy's loyalty?
