Summary
In the quiet Appalachian town of Zaun, the holiday season promises eager tourists and good business as folks travel far to enjoy the seasonal bounty. For Vi, the new owner of the Last Drop, it's a chance for her to make some extra cash so her kid sister can go to college. If life was kind, she should be spending the winter mourning the loss of her father, visiting her brothers, and helping Powder with college applications. Unfortunately Vi is visited by ghosts of her past, leaving her holiday plans in limbo as she tries to dodge a drug lord.

Caitlyn just wants to do her job well. Years of having to prove herself as a skilled detective have made her exceptionally dedicated to her career and little else. When her boss forces her to take mandatory medical leave after a drug bust gone wrong, she decides it's time to get some fresh mountain air and sample Zaun's tourist attractions. If a little R&R happens to bring her closer to the next lead on her case, well-- she is supposed to be enjoying herself, after all.

It was quiet as Caitlyn and Vi both processed the information, and then very slowly Vi pointed her finger to Caitlyn, and then to herself, one eyebrow raised up to the buzzed half of her hairline. “Us. Get married.”
A new law in Piltover prevents Zaun convicts from working topside without citizenship. Luckily for Vi, all she and Caitlyn have to do is take the next step of their relationship and get married, securing Vi a place in Piltover.
Only problem is, they aren’t in a relationship.
