Summary

“Uh, he was peeling garlic when we first got there,” Hoseok starts, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck nervously. “And he, uh, well, he kept asking if he could take their coats while he was peeling the outer layers?”
“What?” Alpha Jeon squeaks, a noise they rarely get to hear from their leader. He’s clearly befuddled, his scent not masking his surprise in the slightest.
“And he, uh, well, every time he set something up on the counter, he kept saying, ‘can you hold this, please?’ every single time. And, uh, when he was washing the dishes, he kept saying ‘it’s bath time!’ in a really excited voice,” Hoseok mutters.

The man spoke so Jimin snapped his gaze to look at him in disbelief.
"That's highly unlikely. Are you gay or bi?" he decided to continue with his questions.
The man frowned, but a small smile was still visible on his face.
"That's the weirdest way of someone thanking me for a compliment."
"I wasn't thanking you, now answer my question, we don't have much time."
Jimin was on a mission here, not to make friends. Goddamn it.
"Bi."
Jimin made a grimace that showed how he was not satisfied with the answer.
"What?"
Jungkook noticed.
"Never mind. Cat or dog?" ...

Jimin rubs his eyes, as if that will fix the way the room is still revolving around him. “How’d you know that?”
Through his spinning vision, he manages to make out a familiar face with a pair of large, worried eyes and a mess of curly hair.
“Because,” Jeongguk says softly, “this isn’t your apartment. You live next door.”

Jimin has a slightly-larger-than-he’d-like-to-admit crush on his very attractive neighbor, Jeongguk. But Jeongguk has a girlfriend and Jimin has no intention of getting between them.

Jeongguk wakes up to a series of messages ringing through on his phone, one after another, so many that he can’t just ignore them and keep sleeping. They’re from the guy who lives in the dorm room next door.

[There’s a weird guy sleeping outside your door. Thought you’d wanna know. He’s hung up a bunch of strange paintings.]
[You might wanna sort that out before one of the security guards sees. Also I don’t know what he’s been smoking, but the hallway smells really strong like herbs.]

Jeongguk sits bolt upright in his bed when he sees the photo of Jimin curled up asleep in front of his door. He looks like he’s been busy, sheets of paper surrounding him covered in symbols and scrawled in ink.
“Jimin what the hell?!”
He flops back down on his bed with a groan, throwing an arm over his face.
It is way too early for this.
Or
Jungkook doesn’t believe in magic until he meets Jimin.
