Summary
Some part of Charlie vaguely remembers how this went.
They both drunk cheap beer in the loudest silence of their lives, giggling and waving at friends nearby. Then there was a girl, Noel's waggling his eyebrows at him and off he went. Charlie keeps the memory of that warm shoulder pressed against his so close to his chest.
But this is not a memory, and when Charlie turns back to look at Noel, maybe trying to read his lips, maybe just to see his face again, Noel shakes his head amused, leans in and kisses him on the lips, firm and sure, as if he had no doubts at all.
